Ngl I was dead wrong about long-form content for local SEO
Honestly I used to think writing a 2,000 word blog post for a pressure washing business was a total waste of time. I figured people just want a phone number and a price list. But about 4 months ago I tried it for a client in Austin, Texas, wrote a detailed guide on 'how to spot soft rot on wooden decks', and it took their site from page 4 to page 1 for 6 different keywords. The post gets about 150 visits a month now and brought in 3 direct calls last quarter alone. Has anyone else had a specific type of content that they were skeptical about but ended up working way better than expected?
