Found a $3 train trick that saved me $40 in London

Did @palmer.ryan's mate use a specific app or just Apple Pay for that Paris trick?

My neighbor argued that focusing on our own homes is a waste of time for climate action.

Putting solar panels on my house felt like I was fighting the good fight, until I realized I was just using all that free power to charge my phone while looking for my keys. That's the thing about personal changes, they buy you some peace of mind but they don't stop you from losing your wallet in between the fridge and the couch. Big policy changes might save the world, but at least my electric bill is low while I'm wandering around the house trying to remember what I walked in here for.

I stopped using corner bead mudders after 15 years and went back to hand-taping every corner

That whole thing about the hand plane really hit home for me. @ross.jason I'm the exact same way with my old tools, I'd rather spend the time tuning something up than throw money at a replacement that probably won't last anyway. My dad's Stanley plane has fixed so many sticky doors and windows over the years, I'd feel like a traitor if I just swapped one out for a new prehung. There's just something about that old metal and wood that works better than anything modern, even if it takes a little more elbow grease to get it dialed in.

The difference in my attic runs after I started using a Milwaukee M12 cable stapler

Oh totally, my buddy Jake borrowed his father in law's T50 for a weekend project and it turned into a whole thing. He was redoing the upholstery on this old boat bench and thought he could get away with just pressing staples in by hand. After like an hour of frustration and bent staples he gave up and grabbed the Arrow. He said the first staple sank into that thick marine vinyl and plywood like butter. Ended up finishing the whole bench in one afternoon and his hands didn't hurt at all the next day. He still talks about that stapler like it was some life changing event lol.

Came across a stat about how much board game weight actually matters

Are these numbers from actual store sales data or just BGG user estimates?
