Manual vs. digital edge finder, which one actually saves you more time?

I spent 6 months on a manual edge finder and switched to a digital one last week, but I'm still not sure it's faster once you factor in battery changes and zeroing, so what do you guys run on your mills and why?

My first digital edge finder died after 3 months, went straight back to the manual one.

Did yours also start showing random numbers every time you touched the table? I swear mine lasted just long enough for me to trust it, then it went haywire on a simple setup. Manual edge finders are boring, but at least they don't quit on you mid-job.
