My buddy did the same thing with a monitor that wouldn't turn on, turned out the outlet switch on the power strip was off the whole time. He read somewhere that most "broken" tech is just one dumb little thing like that. Three hours for a flip of a switch, man.

Ha, my cast iron skillet has taken way worse than that and it just keeps going. I left it on a hot burner for like an hour once and thought I killed it, but a little oil and it was fine the next day. The trick with the cheap stuff is that there is nothing to break, no coating to chip off.
