Why does nobody talk about how much better cereal boxes looked in the 90s
I bought a box of Cheerios last month at a Kroger in Dallas just because the retro throwback box had the old school bee on it, and the cereal inside was the same boring O's I've eaten since I was a kid. Back in the day I'd beg my mom for Cookie Crisp purely because the box had that cartoon wolf on it, and the bowl itself never lived up to the art. Now most boxes are just a clean logo and a photo of the food, and I find myself walking past the whole aisle without stopping. It feels like companies gave up on making the box half the fun. Does anyone know if any brands still do wild packaging like that, or am I just old and remembering it wrong?
