Showerthought: that $15 rice cooker from the campus sale paid for itself in like 3 weeks
I grabbed a little 3-cup rice cooker at a dorm move-out sale for $15 back in August, mostly because my roommate swore it would cut our grocery bill. Turns out we were burning through the $6 bags of instant rice way faster than we thought, and now a $4 bag of dry jasmine lasts us almost 2 weeks plus we toss in frozen veg and an egg for dinner. How do you all stretch a cheap staple like rice without getting bored of it by day 4?
