Spent 6 hours trying to access an old web directory from 1998. The fix was a single checkbox.

Which checkbox finally fixed it?

Stop loading film in direct sunlight like I saw three people do at a park last Saturday

Tree shade isn't actually enough since the UV light bounces around and still hits your film, especially on a bright day. You really need to be inside a car or building with the door closed, or use a changing bag if you're out in the field. Have you ever had to talk someone through why their film came out completely fogged after a sunny day shoot?

TIL my old Geocities site was more honest than my current portfolio

Geocities was the wild west of the internet. You never knew if you'd get a sparkly unicorn page or a blinking neon monstrosity. Everyone just did their own thing with no rules. Made the whole web feel alive and unpredictable. Can't get that vibe back.

That one electrician who grilled me about cabinet clearances

Did I ever mention the time I almost mounted a cabinet directly over an electrical panel door? Yeah, that real old sparky just happened to walk by and point it out, and I still get a little clammy thinking about it. I mean, everyone needs a buddy who catches that stuff before you're cursing at a jigsaw on a ladder.

Spent $150 on a track saw and it paid for itself in one job

Did you actually test that against a good straight edge setup with a decent blade? I've been using a $40 Skill saw with a clamping guide for years on melamine and plywood, and my chipout is near zero if I take my time and use the right blade. A $150 track saw seems like overkill for one job, especially when you could've bought a nicer blade and a better straight edge for half that. I just don't see the payoff for occasional use.
