Heard a guy at a Cars and Coffee in Reno say he only buys brake fluid by the date code, and now I check every bottle
Stood next to this old dude with a 240Z, he watched me grab a bottle off the shelf and goes "what month was that filled?" I had no clue. He pulls out a flashlight, shows me the stamp on the bottom, and says brake fluid sitting on a shelf for 2 years is already half dead from moisture. Told me to never buy the bottle in front, grab from the back. Went home and checked my shelf, had one from 3 years ago. Tossed it. Cheap lesson for a $12 bottle. Anybody else got a rule like this for stuff that sits on the shelf too long?
