Spent $450 on a hydraulic cutter attachment and it paid for itself in one job

Wow, ngl you kind of changed my mind on this one @troykim. I used to be all in on the "buy once cry once" mindset but you're right, for the average side job guy that $450 is a lot of cash to have tied up. I've got a buddy who bought one of those high end tools thinking he'd use it all the time and it's literally been in his garage for two years because the jobs just don't come up that often. Way better to just rent that stuff when you actually need it or find a used one for cheap.

Started watching The Bear and now I can't watch any other cooking shows

The Bear set the bar too damn high.

I thought blog monetization was a scam until a guy in Ohio proved me wrong

Wait, doesn't Amazon require a sale within 180 days for affiliate links to stay active?

Saturday morning spent digging through an old Angelfire archive changed my mind about modern web design

Those old hourglass GIFs were usually just loading screens for dial-up connections, not actual site design problems. Cookie banners being absent because the law didn't exist yet is exactly the point - the internet was less cluttered with junk nobody asked for. Looking better today doesn't mean much when half the page is trackers and ads that slow everything down.

Got told I look like a young Mark Ruffalo at a gas station in Tulsa

Wait, did you check if you have the same eyebrows and jaw angle too? I got compared to a young John Krasinski once and when I actually lined up the photos it was the nose that really sold it.
