That one customer in Portland who wanted 'zero maintenance' brakes

Guy rolls in with a bike that looks showroom clean but the rotors are glazed like a donut shop window, he swore he only rode it 3 times that summer. Told me he never touched the pads because the shop said hydraulic discs were 'set and forget', so I spent 20 minutes explaining that even the fancy ones need a bleed and a wipe down once in a while. Anyone else run into folks who think expensive parts mean they can ignore basic upkeep?
