I wasted 45 minutes planning a route for a job in Tampa before I realized the whole thing was rotated 90 degrees and somehow still labeled, has anyone else found a map so wrong it actually made you question your own memory?

Those school zone signs with the flashing lights finally made sense after I drove through Denton on 380

Always thought those blinking lights were just for show or broken timing, but after hitting the 4:30 PM window in Denton last Tuesday near Ryan High, I realized they actually sync up with real dismissal times. Saw three kids bolt across the crosswalk right as the sign started flashing and a car had to slam brakes. Changed my whole view on those things, now I actually slow down instead of grumbling. Anyone else ever catch a near miss on one of those poorly placed school zone maps?

Spent 45 minutes trying to find a town that turned out to be a typo on an old gas station map

Pulled over at a station outside Tulsa and saw this map from like 2003 that had "Broken Bow" listed twice in different spots on the Oklahoma state outline. Turns out one of them was actually a town called "Bowlegs" that got mislabeled, and I drove 20 miles out of my way before I figured it out. Has anyone else wasted gas chasing a phantom dot on a map that was clearly printed wrong?

I used to think those tourist maps with the cartoon buildings were cute until I tried to use one in New Orleans last month

Hit 47 map fails in one scroll session last night

I was just scrolling through Tumblr around midnight and somehow landed on a thread of terrible maps. I counted 47 bad maps before I even blinked. Things like Alaska shrunk to half size, a map where Europe was upside down, and someone put New Zealand way off near Africa. Has anyone else stumbled into a rabbit hole like that where the bad maps just kept coming?

We had a new guy last week who couldn't figure out the back hallway, so another firefighter sketched a map on a greasy napkin from lunch. The hallways were labeled as "the long one" and "the hot one," and the exit was a stick figure diving out a window. Has anyone else seen a map so bad it actually worked?

Spotted a map of Ohio where Cleveland was placed near the Kentucky border

I was looking at some antique store find in Cincinnati and this map had Columbus in the top corner like it was Lake Erie or something, just how do you mess up a state shape that bad has anyone else seen a map that got a city way off?

Found a map from a gas station in Arizona that had Alaska floating near Hawaii

I stopped at a little gas station outside of Flagstaff about two weeks ago to grab a snack, and on the wall they had a big map of the United States. I thought it was just old, but when I looked closer, Alaska was drawn as a separate island way out in the Pacific near Hawaii. Not even close to Canada or anything. I asked the guy at the counter if it was a joke map, and he said it came with the building when they bought it 20 years ago. I snapped a picture and sent it to my buddy who teaches geography, and he laughed so hard he nearly choked. Has anyone else seen a map that just completely ignored basic geography like that?

I finally spotted a map where they put Hawaii in the Gulf of Mexico

Someone posted a travel brochure for a Florida beach resort that had Hawaii floating just south of New Orleans, and I knew they messed up because I've been checking maps for weird errors ever since my geography teacher showed us a globe with two Alaskas back in middle school - has anyone else found a map that just straight up moves whole states around?
