Talked to an old school guy on a job site who said he never uses mesh tape

Was working a job in Denver last week and this 60 year old finisher told me he thinks mesh tape is a scam, he only uses paper tape for everything. He said mesh causes more cracking in his experience and the only time he sees it work is on green board where people are too lazy to mud right. Any of you guys actually stick with paper tape over mesh or am I missing something?

I vacuumed them out, sealed the duct, and the guy still texts me asking if I saw any tracking chips. Has anyone else dealt with clients jumping to wild theories over simple pest issues?

Been trying to mount this big wall cabinet in my garage for over a month. Kept getting it crooked or one side higher. Yesterday I tried a trick I saw online: clamp a level to the cabinet while you mark the screw holes. Worked perfectly first time. Anybody else have a hack for getting heavy cabinets level by yourself?

Drove 45 minutes to a shop that claimed they could do custom transfers on their website. Get there and the guy says oh we only work with PDFs because our software can't handle vector files. I mean what year is it? I had to sit in their lobby and convert it to a 300 dpi PNG on my phone. They still messed up the registration by 2mm. Has anyone else run into shops that won't touch .ai or .eps files anymore?
