inFinally tested those two smart plugs everyone talks about, and one just works way better in my old house.
Check if your router is set to a crowded Wi-Fi channel, especially in an older building with thick walls. That interference can make one plug drop out constantly while the other holds on. I had to log into my router's settings and switch to a clearer channel to fix similar problems. It made a huge difference for all my smart home stuff, not just the plugs.

inShowerthought: I tried to press a book with a stack of old encyclopedias and a space heater.
Nah, I've had way better luck with a little heat. Letting it sit for days just gives the glue time to get stiff and brittle before it fully bonds. A gentle warmth from a hairdryer on low keeps it flexible so it can seep into the material and actually cure stronger. The trick is to keep it moving and not cook it. That slow air dry method just feels like leaving it up to chance.

That method always seemed a bit messy to me. I mean, you risk getting moisture and starch inside the book. Silica gel packs are a cleaner fix for a damp book.

inJust changed my mind about the 'lost cat' flyer staple after seeing the same one for 8 months
That kind of stubborn hope is pretty humbling. Makes my own dedication to finding the TV remote look pretty weak in comparison. Guess some bonds just don't quit.

inI had to pick between a 12-hour One Piece filler arc or a 3-hour YouTube analysis of Neon Genesis Evangelion
That sponsor read point from fionak63 is real, but man, those deep dives are a TRAP.
