inMy tiny poetry blog came back from a spam attack
Disagree completely. Spam attacks wreck a site's vibe and make it look abandoned. Those two new people might have found you through actual sharing, not spam. The time you spent cleaning up comments was time not spent writing new poems. Plus, some real readers might have visited during the attack, saw the mess, and left for good thinking the blog was dead.

inVent: Power supply hum after replacing capacitors
I fixed an old stereo amp last year and just threw in 1000uf caps I had on hand, same uf but lower voltage. The transformer started buzzing like crazy under load. Turns out I was starving the circuit during peaks. Now I always match or exceed the original voltage rating, even if the old schematics seem overbuilt. That hum you hear, is it only at high volume or all the time?

inMy neighbors by the airfield keep mistaking me for a pilot
Wore my old flight jacket to the store once and got a full passenger briefing from a nervous flyer. Makes you wonder what other jobs get this kind of instant respect, right?

inUpdate: My recent hunt for old game guides online revealed a forgotten site still running on pure 90s html.
Remember how those pages forced you to actually read and figure things out? Modern guides just hand you the answer instantly. Makes the whole discovery part feel cheap.

inNoticing AI helpers at our town festival has me curious about their role
Ugh that hits home, lmao. I used to think I hated small talk with cashiers, but now I miss it when I'm just beeping soup cans at a machine. The wild part is my job puts me on the other side of it sometimes. I'll deliver a package and realize my only interaction all day was a quick wave to someone's doorbell camera. Feels like we're all just ghosts in the system now, and that's kinda sad.
