inPSA: Stop using dry bags that aren't fully waterproof
Roll top is the only way to go, full stop. I had a fancy looking bag with a zipper seal and it leaked like a sieve on a rainy weekend in the Smokies. That was a cold miserable night trying to dry gear out in the tent. Now I submerge every bag in the bathtub for a good ten minutes before I even load it for a trip. People think I'm nuts but that little test has saved me from some real headaches out there. Cheap gear just is not worth the risk when your sleeping bag gets wrecked.

inHot take: everyone told me to switch to a gas forge but I stuck with my coal setup
My buddy Tom runs a shop up in Vermont and he's still using a brake drum forge he built in 2008, gets cleaner welds than half the guys with propane setups. That air gate adjustment you mentioned, how much did you have to tweak it to get that billet weld to stick? I heard some guys say you need like a 45 degree angle on the firepot for coal to work right but I'm not sure if that's just old wives tales.

inMy closing took 6 months because of a sewer scope issue
Honestly, sounds like your sewer line was auditioning for a horror movie.

inLaundromat flyer for a psychic reads palms by the dryers
Who hands out palm readings next to industrial dryers where the air smells like fabric softener and lint? Sounds like a prank some bored college kid cooked up waiting for their laundry to finish. Would anyone in their right mind plop down $5 on a folding table next to a spin cycle?

inThat comment from a drummer about my bass tone still bugs me
Wet cardboard box" is a funny line, I'll give you that. But I think you're overthinking this a bit. If a drummer is that specific about your bass tone during a gig, either the mix was just off that night or he's the kind of guy who'll find something to complain about no matter what.
