Shoutout to the guy who told me to stop buying pre-cut book board

Wasted about $40 on pre-cut sheets from a craft store before figuring out I could just buy a full sheet of binders board and cut it myself. Anyone else get nickled and dimed by pre-cut supplies?

Had a bathroom ceiling sag on me at a hotel in Nashville last month

Was doing a job for a new builder, 12 foot ceiling in a hotel bathroom. I hung the board but forgot to put a crown bead on the curved part. Middle of the night the whole section drooped about 4 inches. Builder called me at 6am, had to rip it down and rehang it with extra blocking. Anyone else had a ceiling sag on them like that?

My first Python script took 6 hours and printed 'Hello World'

Last Tuesday I decided to finally learn coding from scratch. I found a free Python guide online and spent 6 hours installing stuff, fixing errors, and getting a single line of code to run. My dad walked by and asked if I just typed 'print' - he was laughing so hard. Is it normal for beginners to struggle this much just to set up the environment?

I finally checked on that fermented hot sauce from summer

I started it when the days were still long and forgot about it in the cellar. All that waiting gave the flavors a deep and complex taste, unlike anything store-bought. What's the longest you've let something ferment before trying it?

Folks act like you can't run a family shop without a big online push, but my brother's hardware store begs to differ.

I disagree that digital ads are necessary for every small business. His place has loyal customers from the neighborhood who prefer a handshake over a click, and it's been solid for a decade.
