inTIL my old way of painting trim was costing me hours
Yeah, the part about not fighting the tape is so real. I did my whole kitchen the old way and it was a nightmare. Switched the order for a bedroom and it felt like a cheat code.

inMy local library's website went down for a whole day last Tuesday.
Reminds me of the time my phone died and I had to ask for directions at a hardware store. Got sent down a dirt road that ended at a farm stand with the best peaches I've ever had. Getting lost is just finding a better story sometimes.

inFinally got my journeyman's license after three years of night school
Wow, I used to think that was just paperwork, but @troykim is right, it changes everything.

inTIL the first AutoCAD version needed a whole extra computer just to run
Yeah, that "room full of old file server PCs" you mentioned is too real. At my last job, we finally cleared out a storage closet packed with old towers. We wiped the drives, pulled the RAM for testing newer machines, and recycled the rest. Some of the cases were so old they still had floppy drives, just sitting there for years. It felt good to finally deal with it, sean_ramirez.

inJust found out a squirrel in Brazil once ate some coffee cherries and pooped out the beans, which is how we got a certain kind of coffee.
Hold on, that story gets passed around a lot but it's mostly a fun myth. The real process for that coffee, called kopi luwak, is pretty grim when you look into it. They keep civet cats in cages now and force-feed them beans, which is awful. I tried it once before I knew and honestly it just tasted like weird, expensive dirt coffee. The whole thing is a bummer.
