inVent: My crew chief swears by a 10-degree bevel for thick plate, but I found 15 degrees works way faster.
I mean, that sounds like shop talk from someone who's been lucky so far. I've seen guys try to cheat the specs and it always catches up to them during the real test. Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't risk it.

inVent: I shot a roll of film at my niece's birthday party and the whole thing came out blank
Actually, I've had the opposite experience with my K1000. That camera is known for being a tank with a very reliable film transport. I always just load it like the manual says, making sure the tip is aligned with the mark, and I've never once had a leader not catch. I wonder if the film itself or a worn camera part was the real issue.

inWhy does nobody talk about the switch from 4-foot to 5-foot sheets for ceilings?
Yeah the eight-foot wall thing reminds me of helping my buddy drywall his garage. We had so many weird cuts from not planning around that height.

Check if your router got hacked instead. A compromised router can make any device on your network act weird, so the fridge might just be the symptom. You should update your router's firmware and change the admin password.

inUnpopular opinion: Pre-finished plywood saved my garage storage build
That "tiny bit of work upfront" thing is everywhere now, like meal kits saving you from a whole grocery trip.
