Saw a house on San Mateo with a full stucco removal and I think it's a mistake

They stripped it down to the block, which just seems like asking for water and sun damage here. Has anyone actually had a good experience going without stucco in this climate?

Went with the vector file after the printer in Omaha said it would scale cleaner for the large back graphic. The print came out super sharp, no pixelation at all. Anyone have a go-to method for prepping raster art when a vector just isn't an option?

Hot take: I thought I could eyeball a seam on a big commercial job in Denver and it cost me two hours.

I was laying broadloom in a hotel conference room last month, and I rushed the seam on the last roll. When I turned on the seam roller, it just puckered up like a bad zipper. I had to pull up 15 feet of carpet, re-trim both edges perfectly straight with my straight edge, and re-seam the whole thing. Has anyone else had a seam fight them that badly on a tight deadline?

Tbh, I found a roll of Kodak Gold 200 in my dad's old camera bag from like 2003. Figured it was junk, but I shot it anyway in my Pentax K1000 just to see. Developed it myself, and ngl, the colors came out with this weird, soft, pinkish tint that I actually really love. It gave my shots of the local diner a totally different vibe. Has anyone else gotten lucky with super old film like that?

My pack's hip belt buckle snapped on day two of the Wind River High Route

I was about 15 miles in, just past Island Lake, when I went to tighten it and the plastic just gave way. It was a 2018 model Osprey Exos, and I guess the sun and cold cycles finally got to it. I had to rig a fix with some paracord I keep in my repair kit, looping it through the belt webbing and tying it off. It held, but it wasn't comfortable and I couldn't get the weight transfer right for the rest of the 7 day trip. My shoulders were killing me by the end. Has anyone else had a buckle fail like that, and what's a better field fix than my sad cord knot?
