My newsletter hit 5,000 subs and I'm honestly shocked

I started this email list as a side thing for my small business, just sending basic updates maybe once a month. I didn't even use a proper tool at first, just my regular Gmail. Then I switched to MailerLite about eight months ago and actually tried to write useful stuff, like a short guide on local SEO for service businesses. I checked the numbers yesterday and it's at 5,012. That's a real number of people who let me into their inbox. It's not just a vanity metric anymore, it feels like a real audience. I'm kind of freaking out because now I feel pressure to not mess it up. Has anyone else hit a sub count that suddenly made things feel way more serious?

Hot take: I started using a cheap voltage tester for panel diagnostics and it saved me a ton of time.

Everyone at my shop swears you need the expensive multi-meter for everything, but I got stuck on a weird power issue at a commercial site. The main panel was showing inconsistent voltage on the keypad line. Instead of pulling out the big tool, I grabbed a basic $15 non-contact voltage tester from my bag. I ran it along the wire run and found the exact spot where the induced voltage was dropping, about 20 feet from the panel. It was a pinched wire in a conduit bend. Fixed it in 10 minutes. Has anyone else found a simple tool that works better than the 'right' one for a specific job?

Stumbled across a perfectly preserved 2002 blog for a local band called The Static

The last entry is literally 'Gig at The Vault tonight, see you there!' and the guestbook is full of 'cya there' posts. Anyone else find a time capsule site that just... stopped on a random Tuesday?
