I used to leave one-line reviews until I took a screenshot of my own page and saw how lazy it looked
Started doing the math on this about 3 months ago because a friend asked me to look at her bakery listings in Grand Rapids and half the reviews just said "good" with no stars explained. So I tried a little test with my own account. Before, I was writing stuff like "great service" in about 10 seconds. After, I started writing 2 or 3 sentences with one specific thing, like what I ordered or how long the wait was. In 6 weeks the number of people who marked my reviews as helpful went from basically none to 11 on just one pizza place post. I think it's because a real detail gives the next reader something to hold onto, not just a vote. Now I read my old reviews and cringe a little. What's the shortest review you've written that actually helped someone make a choice?
