I was looking up something about search results and found out Google's first storage was made from Legos

That's a fun bit of trivia, but honestly, how much storage could those Legos have held? Probably not enough for today's cat videos.

Showerthought: Heard a guy at the hardware store say 'wire is wire' about alarm cable

Tell me about it, that line makes me cringe every time. I've spent hours troubleshooting ghost signals and voltage issues that traced right back to bargain bin cable. It's never just wire, the copper purity and jacket quality make a real difference on a long run. Explaining that to a customer after their system acts up is the worst part of the job, because they already paid someone else to do it wrong.

Question about switching from manual bidding to automated campaigns

Totally get that. Felt the same panic when I switched. My CPA went down but I kept waking up stressed. Started using max CPC limits like grace said, but also set a really tight target ROAS. Now it feels like I'm steering, not just along for the ride. Let the bot do the hourly tweaks, but I still set the guardrails.

That week in January where every job was a creosote monster

You're right about the wood, but what about the chimneys themselves? A lot of those older houses haven't had a proper sweep in years. Add wet wood to a clogged flue and you're just asking for trouble. Maybe the cold snap just showed us how many people are behind on basic maintenance. Isn't it scary to think how many fires could have started?

Just finished my 100th roll of film, and it was all the same brand

Oh wow, that's so cool to see laid out like that. I totally get sticking with what works, it just becomes your thing without you even trying. There's something really nice about that kind of quiet habit.
