Had a hot pour back in June where the surface kept drying out faster than I could get to it, and an old finisher passing by said to put a tiny bit of dish soap in my water bucket before wetting the tools. I did it on a 12x20 slab and the cream stayed workable way longer than normal, edge looked clean with almost no tearing. Now half the guys on my crew say that soap weakens the top layer and I'm setting myself up for scaling down the road, other half says they've been doing it for years on driveways. Thing is I can't find anyone who's actually tested it, just a lot of "my cousin heard" stuff. Has anyone here run it long term and seen how it holds up after a couple winters?
