Had a customer swear by ATF in their diesel tank for cleaning injectors

Eh, sounds like a good way to clog a fuel filter.

I finally got called out for messy code and it actually helped

70% of my early scripts were just 'data' and 'result' repeated 20 times. I used to think naming stuff was a waste of time but after someone forced me to rename everything I realized how much harder I was making debugging for myself. It's honestly one of those annoying fixes that saves you hours later.

Tried a vintage lattice boom attachment on a 40 year old crawler last month and got smoother swings than my newer hydraulic setup

Oh, @cameron770, you almost had a point until you brought flip phones into it. My old Nokia could survive a 40 foot drop and still take a fuzzy picture of my cat that somehow looked more nostalgic than anything my current phone spits out. The rust and prayers thing is funny though, I'll give you that.

Had a client cry during a toner application last Tuesday...

Honestly @eric_johnson, I think it depends on the person. My friend dropped $90 on a custom toner at a salon in Austin and it turned her hair straight up green right before her wedding shower. She cried for like an hour, lol. Hair stuff hits different when you've been saving up for months and it goes sideways. Toner is one of those things that feels simple but one wrong move and you're stuck with it for weeks.

Finally cracked 100 sales on my Etsy stickers this week, and I still have no clue what I'm doing

Oh man, that possum sticker sounds like a winner! I swear it's always the lazy doodles that hit. My weirdest seller is a cat with toast on its head that I drew while half asleep. Meanwhile my detailed portraits just sit there.
