inMy brother-in-law was sure his car's rattling was a built-in feature
Yeah that's wild how people will believe anything about their cars lol. Makes you wonder what other "features" are out there just waiting to be discovered.

inTIL my bullet journal recipe page got me into a spicy situation
Honestly, the cinnamon and cumin look identical in my spice jars, a mistake that once led to some truly interesting chili. My personal nemesis is baking soda versus baking powder. You get one mixed up and your pancakes turn into sad, dense hockey pucks. I've started putting big tape labels on everything after that salt-for-sugar cookie disaster.

inWoke up sure I slept too long, but the clock said otherwise
My friend had that happen last week, swore he slept half the day but his clock said 20 minutes. He actually tried what @piper_nelson said about making tea, and it really did help him reset.

inMy friend asked for no spoilers, but I hinted at a twist anyway.
Being "that guy" is a life sentence, man. I once spoiled the twist in a different superhero movie by talking too loud in the lobby and I still feel the shame. Ten years from now, your wife will probably just say "the Batman thing" and you'll both know exactly what she means. We just have to live with our curse.

inRemember when crispy chicken wings meant babysitting the oven for an hour?
So, has Chris checked if his oven actually heats to the right temperature? Mine was running way too hot and it TORCHED my cookies until I used a cheap oven thermometer. Those heating elements can wear out and create insane hot spots, like the back left corner becoming a pizza cremator. If his rack was too high or the batch was too close to the top, that's a guaranteed burn. Some ovens just need a professional calibration, especially if they're older. It's a simple fix but most people never even think about it.
