Woke up sure I slept too long, but the clock said otherwise

I got scared when I saw only a little time had passed. Slow breaths made me feel better and clear my head. How do you deal with moments when sleep doesn't make sense?

Honestly, that used to happen to me all the time. I would wake up feeling like hours passed, but it was only minutes. What helped was getting up and doing a simple task, like making tea or stretching. It kinda tricks your brain into moving on from that weird time warp feeling. Now I just roll with it and don't let that weird feeling ruin my morning.

Wait, he swore he slept half the day but it was only 20 minutes? That's actually kind of scary. I've had that weird time stretch feeling before, but never that extreme. It makes me wonder what's going on in your sleep cycle for it to feel that long. I'd probably be checking my carbon monoxide detector or something if I was that off.

My friend had that happen last week, swore he slept half the day but his clock said 20 minutes. He actually tried what @piper_nelson said about making tea, and it really did help him reset.
