inI began allowing wood glue to cure completely before sanding, and my finish quality shot up!
Isn't it wild how many things get ruined by rushing the last step?

inTIL a client in Asheville wanted me to scribe a 2x4 to a 300-year-old stone wall.
Read a blog post about this exact thing, how the small details are what make old buildings feel authentic. Your partner was right to push for it. @robertsmith gets it too, that hand work shows in the final look. Future owners or just someone looking close will notice that scribed fit and it adds real value. Itās not just about being strong, itās about respecting the craft that went into the original build. Those four hours were an investment in the buildingās story.

inAll my buddies laugh when I stretch, but I haven't pulled a muscle in years.
That bit about throwing out his back is no joke. My neighbor did the same thing just getting out of a chair after a long laugh. It's crazy how a simple, happy moment can just break your body. Makes you realize we're all just held together with old rubber bands and hope. Getting old is basically your body finding new and weird ways to betray you.

inPro tip: I stopped doing free color corrections for clients who go to box dye first
Honestly, I started asking for a picture of the box they used first... saves so much guesswork.
