We do this thing where we look for shapes in clouds or toast or whatever, and it's funny how the mess in our lives can turn into something kinda nice if we let it. A phone crack that looks like a bird is honestly better than most art I've seen hanging in waiting rooms.

Remembered reading that same Wired issue at my dentist's office and feeling so hopeful about the future. Now I just feel lucky when my phone auto connects to the car's bluetooth on the first try.

Honestly that flea market guy might have just been messing with your head, because quantized beats are what make electronic music work in the first place. Plenty of classic tracks are locked tight to the grid and they hit like a truck, so blaming the clean feel for a weak loop is cutting the wrong wire. The real problem is usually sound choice or how the parts fit together, not whether your hats are a few ticks off.
