Figured that $8 car wash soap from the gas station was junk, then I read the back of the bottle
For about two years I would not touch the cheap pink soap at the Sunoco on Route 9 because I assumed it was watered down junk that would strip my wax. Then a detailer buddy of mine pointed at the label and it was the same pH-neutral formula as the $25 bottle I was buying at the parts store, just with a no-name sticker on it. I ran it through my foam cannon for 6 washes now and my truck still beads water in the rain like it did the day I waxed it. The one catch is it doesn't foam up quite as thick, so I use a little extra per bucket. Anyone else find a cheap soap that holds up, or got one that actually wrecked their finish?
