That neighbor who told me to stop watering my succulents every week

Every six weeks though? That's wild to me. My neighbor didn't give me a schedule, she just laughed and said "maybe once a month if it looks thirsty." I bet your snake plant is loving that neglect though. Honestly I think we treat plants like they're dogs or something, like they need a meal every day. Meanwhile they're secretly little desert creatures that just want to be left alone.

Tried a cheap brake bleeder kit from Harbor Freight and almost ran my master cylinder dry

Man, I feel your pain. I had the same frustration with one of those cheap kits until I switched to a two-person method with a helper. Just having someone push the pedal slowly while I cracked the bleeder screws worked way better and didn't waste half a bottle of fluid.

Got scammed by a fake hostel booking site in Prague

Read an article the other day about how some booking sites will show you a price but then tack on a bunch of "resort fees" or "cleaning fees" after you click through, which is wild. Also heard that scammers will set up fake versions of real hostel websites with a slightly different URL, so you think you're booking direct but you're not. $35 in a big city does sound suspicious unless it's way off season or way out of the center. Calling ahead like you said is probably the best way to sniff out the fakes, plus if they're rude or confused on the phone that's a major warning sign.

Just hit 100 hours on my dehumidifier this summer and the bucket is still dry

Check your drain line for any kinks or clogs yet? I had to snake mine out after about 60 hours because a bit of lint backed it up and the float switch killed the unit. Also curious what your basement temp is running. My Frigidaire 50-pinter slows way down under 65 degrees and the compressor cycles off more often.

My old website went from page 8 to page 2 in 3 months with one simple change

You rewrote every single one" - did you actually track which pages got the biggest jumps after that? I'm curious if it helped the homepage more or the category pages for stuff like mystery or sci fi. In my experience with old content, sometimes just one or two pages carry all the weight while the rest stay dead.
