Everyone praises that old Space Jam website but I think it's overrated

I saw someone in the comments call it a perfect time capsule from 1996 and I had to disagree. That site has broken links everywhere, the navigation barely works in Chrome, and half the images are just pixelated blobs. The whole thing feels like someone threw it together in a weekend and never looked back. Am I the only one who thinks nostalgia goggles are making people ignore how poorly it actually functions?

Wait, the cursor trails stuttered? I totally forgot about that mess. Now that you mention it, yeah, that was a nightmare. The whole thing ran like crap even back then, you're right. People were just so blown away by anything with moving pictures and sound on a website that they ignored how it barely worked. The fact that it took forever to load AND had broken sound files is pretty funny to think about now. It's wild how that site got held up as this legendary thing when it was basically a glitchy mess from the start.

Remember waiting like 10 minutes for that site to load on dial-up, only for the sound files to glitch out halfway through? It was basically broken from day one but nobody cared because it was the only game in town. I actually went back to check it a few years ago and it was even WORSE than I remembered, the cursor trails were stuttering like crazy. Funny how people act like it was some masterpiece when really it was just a fun gimmick that happened to catch on. Let's be real, nobody would give it a second look if it launched today.
