Used to think foil was mandatory for the stall and never questioned it. Did a no wrap cook last month and the bark was on another level, way more crunch and flavor. The extra time and splits suck but its worth it for that crust.

Cheap clippers can work fine if you keep them oiled and don't push through thick hair too fast. The blades are usually the weak point, not the motor, so a $40 pair with decent blades beats a $180 pair with dull ones. That said, a full day of fades will wear out the cheap motor eventually, so keep that backup handy either way.

I tried the soap trick on my old truck's sway bar bushings back in high school because I was broke and too cheap to buy the right stuff. Worked great for about a month, then every bump in the road turned into this awful creaking noise. My buddy still gives me crap about it every time we work on cars together. For pressing them in, a big C-clamp and a little dish soap just on the outside edge works fine, you just don't want that stuff staying in there long term.
