Oh man, I feel that. My last "quick" project is still sitting in my garage half-finished.

It's wild how much of that early web culture just vanished. Those guestbooks were full of inside jokes and random conversations that feel totally lost now. The Wayback Machine is amazing, but it's like a photo album missing half the pictures.

Last year I got caught in a downpour on the Mount Margaret trail. The sound of rain hitting my hood made everything else go quiet, so I actually heard a pika squeaking under a rock slide for the first time ever. It made me realize rain doesn't just change what you see, it changes what you hear out there. The whole forest gets a new soundtrack when it's wet.

Yeah, cat litter is the move for sure. That old fork oil is like glue. Had a similar mess once and just kept sweeping in fresh litter until it stopped feeling like an ice rink.
