inPSA: Check your old HTML tutorials before building a site off memory
lol "who cares if it breaks" I used to be 100% in that camp. Thought people were being too precious about standards and validation. Then I spent a weekend building a whole navigation menu around a marquee effect for a retro themed site. Chrome straight up ignored it, Firefox half rendered it, and Safari just showed a blank space. That was the moment I realized I was the one being stubborn, not the browsers. Now I just use CSS animations to fake the look if I really want that old vibe.

inHot take: A chat with a young tech made me rethink how I carry my tools
Man, @fionarodriguez nailed it with that vest switch. Hard cases are overrated once you feel the difference. Took me way too long to stop caring what looks "serious" on the job.

inThat week in Philly where I sewed 12 buttonholes crooked and had to rip them all out
oh man that hot washcloth tip is a lifesaver, i swear by it now. i was doing a batch of bridesmaid dresses last spring and had to rip out 30 buttonholes because my tension was off. by the third dress i was ready to throw the whole sewing machine out the window. the washcloth trick made the thread pop out clean without shredding the fabric, which was huge because those were silk. i still get twitchy whenever i see a buttonhole foot though.

And that little knob probably cost him more than the whole saw did back in the day.

inLet's settle this: Cuticle nippers vs. scissors for nail prep?
Haven't seen blood under the table" isn't quite right. You mean under the nail right? Blood under the table would be a whole different problem. But I get what you're saying about the curve on scissors. Been using scissors for six years now. Nippers just don't give me that same control near the eponychium. The angle is way easier to judge when you can see the blade line up with the fold. Less guessing, less accidental nicks.
