Is losing a fan site really that big of a deal?

That Space Jam fan page detail hits hard. I had a whole Sailor Moon shrine on Angelfire with glitter graphics. Lost it all in 2005 when my family switched internet providers and I forgot the password. The visitor counters were the best part, watching those numbers climb. Feels like a whole piece of the early web just evaporated.

Honestly, those boards just bum me out. Every single one is a small tragedy or a dead end. That cat is probably long gone, and now someone's phone number is just out there for anyone. It feels less like a world of stories and more like a graveyard for lost things and failed plans.

It's wild how much hidden chemistry is in basic stuff around us. Like how cutting an apple turns it brown or cleaning with vinegar changes things. Makes you see your whole house as a low-key science lab.
