Vent: Short videos are supposed to work, but mine get ignored. What's the deal?

Maybe the formula isn't as simple as just making them short.

Serious question, how do you deal with a neighbor who shows off every new purchase?

My neighbor Dave's new grill cost over two grand, and he won't stop talking about it. I used to get annoyed too, but now I see it as a kick to set better goals for myself. If you never let yourself enjoy a big buy, what's the point of saving all the time? His show-off might be the push you need to treat yourself once in a while. Don't you think always saying no to spending can make life dull?

I used to roll my eyes at string lines until a buddy's prank during a backyard job showed me why they're not just for show.

My first solo fence was 150 feet along a property line. Thought I could eyeball it, felt pretty good. By the end, it had a gentle curve you could see from the road. Had to pull up two sections and redo them with a line. Now I use one for anything over 20 feet. That little bit of time saves a huge headache later.

My remote work setup is perfect, but our new AI monitoring software is killing the vibe.

Code editors like VS Code record timing between keystrokes. They don't get confused, they just use pauses to adjust suggestions. Campbell.nora's pity promotion idea is spot on, since AIs can detect shifts in productivity. After a few slow sessions, mine starts offering simpler completions or waits longer. Your Morse code pauses are probably training it to be less eager. It's all part of how these systems learn from our habits.
