Serious question, how do you deal with a neighbor who shows off every new purchase?
It tempts me to spend cash I don't have, but I stick to my plan. Still, it bugs me every time.

My neighbor Dave's new grill cost over two grand, and he won't stop talking about it. I used to get annoyed too, but now I see it as a kick to set better goals for myself. If you never let yourself enjoy a big buy, what's the point of saving all the time? His show-off might be the push you need to treat yourself once in a while. Don't you think always saying no to spending can make life dull?
