Oh man, that reminds me of the time I tried to set up one of those chairs on a gravel driveway for a barbecue. I thought I was being careful, but I guess I didn't notice a little rock sticking up under the leg. I sat down and heard this loud crack and the whole thing just buckled sideways. I didn't even move that much, just sat down normally. My buddy said I probably leaned wrong, but I've sat in chairs my whole life, you know?

Honestly I get where you were coming from, I thought the same thing for ages too lol. It's so easy to assume something like that is just a gimmick or gonna look awful in a year. But sounds like that Butterfield stuff and your curing method really proved you wrong, which is pretty cool.

Flipped through three binders of discontinued patterns last month for a woman who wanted a 1990s country blue tile for her backsplash. She had this little piece of tile in a ziploc bag like it was a family heirloom or something. I felt terrible but I had to tell her they stopped making that style around the time NSYNC broke up. She got all teary and I just stood there holding her sad baggie of tile like an idiot. Why do people think we keep warehouses full of stuff from 25 years ago?
