inFinally made a butter robot meme that got 50 upvotes after 6 tries
Wait didnt I see a tweet somewhere saying butter robots work best when you keep them really simple and relatable? Idk I think less is more with those little guys.

inRant: Messed up a whole kitchen cabinet run because I trusted my tape measure
I used to be one of those people who blamed the tape measure for everything. After I bought a cheap one at a hardware store and it was off by almost a quarter inch over 6 feet, I just assumed all tapes were junk. Then a buddy let me borrow his Starrett and showed me how to check it against his shop rule. Realized my whole issue was I was buying the wrong tapes and not checking them. You're right, most problems are on the user side once you have a decent tool.

inStopped by Midtown Comics last weekend and noticed something weird about the longboxes
Honestly I used to think the newer bins were the best bet because they're more organized but you've got a point. I grabbed a Secret Wars #1 from an old box behind the counter for like 3 bucks last month and it was easily in better shape than the ones they had up front for way more. Definitely checking those beat-up longboxes first from now on.

inI compared starting my tomato seedlings in peat pots vs. newspaper pots this spring and wow what a difference.
Was totally on team peat pot before this because that's what my grandpa always used, but seeing how much better the newspaper ones did for you definitely makes me want to try them next year lol.

inBIM 360 vs Procore on a hospital job last month
Man I was all in on BIM 360 until last fall when we had to do a similar size job. I used to tell everyone it was the industry standard and you just had to deal with the load times. Then I had a GC push us onto Procore for a tenant fit out and it blew my mind how smooth everything ran. BIM 360 does have some advanced stuff but when you're on site and need to pull up a model fast that 6 hour wait is a deal breaker. Procore was just getting out of the way and letting us work, BIM 360 felt like it was fighting us the whole time. I'm still not fully converted but that experience really opened my eyes.
