Pro tip: Always test audio gear before a big meeting

Ugh, that's the worst. My friend once had a job interview over Zoom where her keyboard's mute button got stuck. She spent five minutes answering a question in complete silence before she realized. It's why I now do a sound check before anything that matters.

A simple grip adjustment fixed my uneven forging

My friend had the same thumb issue with her pottery. She moved her grip just a bit and her bowls went from wobbly to perfect. It's crazy how one small fix makes everything click.

Switched to a password manager after a close call with my bank account

Totally agree with starting to use a password manager, that's a huge move. I read an article a while back that said the next most important thing is turning on two-factor authentication everywhere you can, especially for your bank and email. Like, use an app for the codes instead of texts if possible. I make it a habit to check my bank statement every few days for any weird small charges, too. That way nothing slips by.

The way I do layer management in CAD drives my coworkers crazy

Get why your coworkers are upset, but I see your point too. Your way makes sense if you're the only one working on the drawing. But in a team, everyone needs to find things fast without learning your system. How do you hand off drawings to others without causing confusion? I've seen similar fights in my office over layer names. Do you have a cheat sheet or something to help your team get on board?
