A homeowner in Tacoma told me my cable runs looked sloppy compared to the electrician's work.

Now I spend an extra 20 minutes per job on neat, parallel runs and proper strapping, so has anyone found a specific type of strap that holds better in cold attics?

Yeah, the cold makes those plastic ones snap like twigs.

Actually, the cold just makes them brittle. They don't really snap until you try to bend them.

That part about them not snapping until you bend them is so true. It's like they're just waiting for you to make a wrong move. I saw what @the_joseph said about them snapping like twigs, and it's the perfect way to put it. The cheap plastic ones in my garage are the worst for that.
