Watch out for that new clear coat they sell at the auto parts store

I sprayed a hood with it three days ago and it still feels tacky. The can said it would dry in two hours, but the mix is off. I called the company and they said to add more hardener, but that just made it orange peel. Has anyone else had this happen with the newer stuff?

So they admitted the mix was wrong but gave you bad advice to fix it. That's a pretty big red flag for their whole quality control. I'd be looking for a different brand next time.

Yeah, saw a video last week where a guy had the exact same problem with that brand. He said the hardener ratio on the can is wrong for anything below 70 degrees. Had to strip it all off and start over with a different brand.
