inUnpopular opinion - skipping toner actually saved my bleached hair
But doesn't skipping toner mean you're leaving residual alkalinity in the hair shaft that can cause breakage down the line? I've always seen toner as more than just color, it seals the cuticle and locks in moisture after bleach strips everything. If you're just using purple conditioner, you might be missing that pH balancing step that keeps bleached hair from getting brittle over time.

inAn old timer told me to stop untwisting coax so much and he was right
Man, I feel that. I wasted so much time doing the same thing before a senior guy set me straight. It is wild how the little tricks from people who have been doing it forever can save you so much hassle.

inThrew away $150 on a "learn to code in 30 days" email course
The timing thing is a bit off though - those mid-2010s video bundles were actually a totally different beast from these email drip courses, the bundles usually gave you lifetime access even if the content was dated. A chargeback is definitely the right move here since they stopped providing the service after day 8.

inShoutout to the guy who told me to stop buying pre-cut book board
Looks like a toddler carved it with a butter knife" - yeah @oscarwright, that's basically how my first few attempts went too. I wasted a whole sheet because I thought I could freehand it. Now I use a cheap T-square and a brand new blade every time, and my corners are actually square. Pre-cut is fine for some people but man, that $40 adds up fast.

inSwitched from manual drafting to CAD in 2019 and still catch myself reaching for an eraser
Three years in and I still find myself doing a phantom crtl+Z motion on paper when I sketch at home. The weirdest one for me was the muscle memory of rolling the wheel on my old drafting chair to scoot closer to the table, but in CAD you just hit Z and zoom. I also had a bad habit of blowing on my screen to clear eraser dust for the first few months. Never really goes away, just fades to this thing you do without thinking.
