inMy neighbor said I was crazy to put a heated floor in my garage
Honestly, the safety angle is huge that nobody talks about. My old garage floor was a solid sheet of ice from snow melt off the car. I nearly ate it twice just walking to the freezer. Now with the heat on, it's dry instantly. No more salt tracking into the house either, which saves my floors. It's a game changer for just not slipping and breaking your tailbone.

inChoosing between spray foam and fiberglass batts for my attic in Sherwood Park was a real headache
My cousin in St. Albert had that exact problem with his spray foamed roof deck. The foam sealed it up so tight that moisture from the house got trapped against the cold wood in winter. He found mold spots on the north side sheathing after two years. You need a really good vapor barrier on the warm side, and even then, I'm not convinced it's enough for our climate. That 30% savings might cost you a new roof down the line if the sheathing rots out.

inA job in Tacoma made me rethink how I set up my work offsets
Frank only loses two thou on an edge finder? He must have the steadiest hands in the state. Mine wanders more than that on a good day. The 1-2-3 block is a good fix, but I'd still check it with an indicator sweep. You can't trust anything that doesn't involve watching a needle move.

inI found out that 70% of people ignore Facebook ads completely, saw it in a report from a small agency in Austin.
Guess they're leaving 30 percent for wishful thinking and bad math. What's your ideal number, Keith?

inThe rust stain on my shed door turned into a perfect map of an island after two rainy seasons
My buddy had a water stain on his ceiling that looked exactly like his old dog's face. He refused to fix the leak for a year.
