I get what you're saying @eva_lewis, but I actually think sometimes adding steps is the only way to figure out what not to do. Frank's trick works because he's been through the trial and error, but you can't skip the errors if you've never made them.

The "paid off" part is the whole point, isn't it? I've been in that kind of corner where you're two feet from the work and can't get a full saw stroke in. A good pair of snippers with a 30-degree head will save your knuckles every single time. Just make sure you're cutting flush and not twisting the blade, that's how you end up with a bent tool and a bad cut. Trust the snippers in those tight spots, you did the right thing.
