Found a VHS tape from 1994 in my grandma's attic - it was a funeral recording

I was cleaning out her attic last Sunday and found this dusty old VHS tape labeled 'Family Gathering Summer 94'. Popped it in my player and it turned out to be my great uncle's funeral from back then. The weird part was seeing everyone so young and alive at this sad event, laughing and telling stories. Has anyone else found a funeral video in a random old tape? It's creepy but also kind of cool.

Get that tape digitized ASAP before it degrades. I lost my own copy that way.

Oh man, that is wild. My buddy Jim found something similar at a thrift store a few years back, a tape that was just labeled "July 4th". He popped it in and it was some family's reunion from the late 80s, but then halfway through it cut to what was clearly a wake for an older lady. You could see people crying and then just eating sandwiches and laughing about old times. It was super weird but he said it felt almost like you were right there with them for a few minutes.
