inUsed to brush dirt off pottery with a toothbrush, now I just use a soft paintbrush after I shattered a Roman oil lamp last month
Yeah I used to think any brush would do the trick, but after chipping a tiny piece off a medieval pottery shard with a stiff toothbrush I totally changed my mind. @anderson.spencer you're right about metal scrapers too, I saw a guy at a dig gouge a nasty scratch into a roman roof tile with one. The soft brush thing is a real game changer, feels like you're not fighting the artifact anymore. I still cringe thinking about that oil lamp you broke though, that must have stung bad.

inTIL I was torquing my lug nuts all wrong for 10 years
Ngl, you don't really need to reset click wrenches to zero for storage though.

inFinally made it to Hatfield-McCoy Trails last weekend
The Buffalo Trail is a good choice for a first timer, but I would push back a little on the water crossings. Those depths on the map are usually measured in dry conditions. After any rain, which happens a lot in that area, they can rise a foot or more. I rode it last October and a few spots were over my skid plate, even though the map showed them at six inches.

inI was totally shocked to learn Aaron Franklin actually uses a $30 kettle grill for his whole demo setup
Gotta agree with @seana14 though, once you add a slow n sear and new grates that $30 kettle becomes a $200 setup real quick.

inI finally fixed my fridge shelf with a $2 broom handle
Oh man, that's actually pretty clever. I remember hearing somewhere that those glass shelves are super expensive to replace so a broom handle hack makes total sense.
