Flea market tools vs. big box store tools... not even close

Picked up a full set of Craftsman wrenches from the 70s at a swap meet in Des Moines for $30 last Saturday. My buddy swore by the new Husky set from Home Depot for $80, so we put them head to head on a rusty old truck. The old Craftsman didn't slip once on a stripped bolt, the Husky rounded it off on the second turn. Anyone else notice older hand tools just hold up way better than the new stuff?

Man, did you check if the Husky uses the same steel alloy as the old Craftsman? I swear they cheap out on the metal blend now just to hit a price point.
