That 2007-era food blog with the perfect banana bread recipe vanished last month
I had a specific banana bread recipe bookmarked from a blog called "Sally's Simple Eats" that I used for every potluck since 2019. Last month I went to pull it up for a friend's birthday and got a 404 error. Wayback Machine had a cached copy from 2012, but the photos were broken and the ingredient list was cut off after the flour. Has anyone else lost a go-to recipe from a random old blog that just disappeared one day?

Lost my go-to pancake recipe the same way. Guess I'll just be sad about it.

Oh man, that's rough. So you just had it memorized or written down somewhere and it's gone forever? I'm curious, was it a family recipe passed down or something you tweaked yourself over time, @anderson.spencer? Because those are the worst ones to lose since you can't just look up a replacement online. I've got a couple recipes I've been meaning to write down properly before I forget them, but I keep putting it off.
