Job on a tilt-up in Phoenix last summer changed my whole setup
I was running a 50-ton Grove on a tilt-up panel job in Phoenix when a 20 mph gust caught a panel I was lifting. The load swung maybe 6 feet before I corrected, but it shook me up bad. Any of you guys use a specific wind meter setup or stick to a rule for when you call it on these thin panels?

Read an article from a crane safety group that said wind speed at ground level can be WAY different than up at panel height. They recommended using a handheld anemometer but taking readings every 15 minutes during panel work. After that Phoenix experience I picked up a Kestrel 3000 and started tracking gusts as much as sustained wind.

Watched a guy in Tucson lose a panel to a dust devil once, glad that meter caught your attention.
